Established in 1974, Winston Heights Public School is situated in the suburb of Winston Hills, approximately 5 kilometres north of Parramatta. The school was built on three hectares of land which was originally part of a farm owned by the early settlers, Pye and Buckley.
The suburb of Winston Hills, named after Sir Winston Churchill, was settled as a housing estate in the late 1960s. The suburb is characterised by well-maintained modern homes, most of which are privately owned, and extensive sporting and recreational facilities. The district is also well-served by community facilities including major shopping and business centres, libraries, local churches representing most denominations and both private and public schools.
