Events

School events bring learning to life and help shape our school culture. They help students build confidence, connect with others and celebrate their progress. Events also give families a chance to be involved in school life and share in their child’s achievements.

Book Week

Our annual Book Week celebrations are a highlight of the school year that sparks a love of reading and creativity! Book Week is a national event dedicated to celebrating books, authors, illustrators, and the joy of reading. Our festivities include a vibrant Character Parade where students dress up as their favourite book characters, bringing stories to life in a fun and colourful way. Throughout the day, students participate in a variety of literacy-themed activities, such as Literacy on the Lawn and Readers Theatre, designed to engage and inspire a passion for reading. It’s a fantastic opportunity for students to connect with stories, develop their literacy skills, and enjoy a day full of imagination and learning.

Public Education Week - Open day

Celebrate Public Education Week with us at our annual Open Day - usually held in Term 3, Week 3. Open Day is a special community event welcoming parents, carers, and prospective families to immerse themselves in our school for the day. Join us as we showcase our talented students during the Showcase Assembly, open classrooms where you can experience our teaching and learning firsthand, and opportunities to connect with our school community. Enjoy the P&C morning tea and a delicious community lunch, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all. It’s the perfect chance to discover what makes our school a great place to learn and grow!

Assemblies

Our school assemblies are a special time to celebrate student success, effort, and achievement.

K-2 and 3-6 assemblies are held on alternate Thursday afternoons at 2pm in the school hall, providing students with the opportunity to come together and share their accomplishments.

K-6 Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) assemblies are held once a term, usually in Week 9 or 10, to recognise students receiving their PBL badges for being safe, responsible, and respectful learners.
